Hi Donna,

After a frightening reaction to pancakes, we recently discovered that our youngest child has a severe allergy to eggs. After the initial shock and surprise, I became afraid. I love to bake and cook for my family, and how would I ever be able to do that without eggs? I purchased some allergy cookbooks but I was frustrated to find that most had recipes that were difficult to follow or contained ingredients that we couldn’t get in our small town grocery stores. Luckily, I received a copy of The Egg, Dairy & Nut Free Cookbook which has been a huge help to me and my family. It contains information on all aspects of managing food allergies; from alternate names to look for on food labels, to websites, to delicious recipes. The recipes are easy to follow, contain “regular” ingredients that we can buy anywhere, and are wonderful to eat. In fact, we just had our child’s first birthday and I made a cake from this cookbook. One of our young guests came back for a second helping of cake, and then told his mom that cakes taste way better without eggs in them! Our older children are so happy that after months of going without eggs, we are able to enjoy family favorites like French toast, pancakes, cookies and muffins again! This cookbook never gets put away because I use it so often. Thank you, Donna, for putting together such a wonderful resource!
